Most Kiwis picked their KiwiSaver fund years ago (or never picked at all) and haven't looked since. The difference between the right fund and the wrong one can be tens of thousands of dollars over time. A free check-up takes half an hour.
What we look at
- Fund type: Is your fund matched to your timeline and how you feel about ups and downs?
- Fees and returns: What are you actually paying, and what are you getting for it?
- First home: Using your KiwiSaver for a deposit, and making sure your fund settings suit a purchase that's a few years away versus a few decades.
- Retirement: Making sure the money will be there, in the right shape, when you stop working.
- Contributions: Small tweaks now, big difference later. Including making sure you get the full government contribution every year.
What does it cost?
In most cases, our advice is always free. We generally get paid a small commission out of the fund's existing fees, not an extra cost to you. If a management fee ever applies, you'll hear it from us first. No surprises.
